Empiribox @ Home is a digital science resource for primary schools. Covering all national curriculum objectives, the 132 lessons for both KS1 and KS2 are made up of:

Contents

Empiribox @ Home is a digital service with lessons delivered direct to pupils by a science teacher. They are structured to facilitate pauses for children to complete the knowledge and skills based investigations and include starter activities, investigations, scientific skill focus, scientific explanation, challenge activities and quizzes. They can be replicated by teachers in the classroom as exemplar lessons if preferred.


Empiribox Select offers teachers a pick and mix choice of lesson boxes filled with the necessary equipment to complete each lesson on a termly lease. The lesson documentation provide starter activities, investigations, scientific skill focus, scientific explanation, challenge activities, plenaries and quizzes

Support

Support is available for teachers in the form of a dedicated email and phone number. Schools can use the details below to seek advice on products, pedagogy and classroom management of practical science. In-school and online training is also available at an additional cost.

Our scheme is written for non-specialist primary teachers by secondary science teachers who have much primary experience. The scheme is fully compliant with the national curriculum for Years 1-6 including the Working Scientifically statements, and our Reception scheme will soon be launched at no extra cost to your school. 


The aim of the scheme is to upskill all teachers as well as develop pupil science skills. We achieve this through our extensive suite of over 100 training videos and 400+ lesson activities. The beauty of our scheme is there is no requirement for heavy investment in science equipment.

Cost

The Whole School Science Curriculum Pack costs £330. This includes all the lessons and schemes of work necessary to deliver a complete Science curriculum across KS1 and KS2. A KS1 pack (£115) and a KS2 pack (£225) are also included. Schemes of work may be purchased separately from £10 to £14.50 each.
