My Life

Collins

My Life is a complete PSHE programme to encourage every pupil’s personal development and support teachers in confidently delivering this essential subject. Created by experienced PSHE teachers and consultants, the resources promote happiness and health via structured, age-appropriate steps. A comprehensive course, My Life covers PSHE through a spiral curriculum, including the new relationships and health education content that becomes statutory for schools in the academic year 2020-21. All the lesson plans, PowerPoints and resource sheets are fully editable to ensure schools can adapt them for their own pupils and contexts.

Watch author and series editor Victoria introduce the series here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_k4ecT6vKU

Impact

Connect is the first wellbeing curriculum to be fully informed by psychological research. Specifically, each term focuses on one of the ‘Six Ways to Wellbeing’ (challenging oneself, giving to others, exercise, self care, connecting with others and embracing the moment). Additionally, throughout the curriculum children learn to use a range of key skills, which have also been demonstrated through psychological research (based on ‘The DNA-V Model’), and provide an exciting new way for children to talk about their thoughts and feelings.

“It has been inspiring to see the children developing a clear sense of their world and how they can better manage their thoughts, feelings, happiness and contribution to their community. The model provides clear language for the children to express their thoughts clearly and the interactive approach has been extremely inclusive and engaging”

Year 5 teacher, Blackhorse Primary School.

Cost

An annual subscription to Connect PSHE starts from £300 + VAT per annum, and is based on the size of your school. Schools buying in clusters / academies would be offered a bespoke discount.
